Mark Carney has been Governor of the Bank of Canada since February 2008. He was Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada from August 2003 until his appointment as Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Finance in November 2004. Prior to joining the public service, he had a thirteen-year career with Goldman Sachs in its London, Tokyo, New York, and Toronto offices.[1]
