Rizwaan Sabir is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Geography and Sociology at the University of Strathclyde, where he is researching British and Scottish counter-terrorism. He is the editor of the Counter-Terrorism Portal of SpinWatch.
Rizwaan is a well known commentator within the field of counter-terrorism and is often called upon by news media commentators to provide his analysis and opinion on related issues. He is currently advising the makers of a three part BBC documentary series on the issue of radicalisation, set to be aired in February 2010, and is a contributor to the Guardian’s online opinion column, Comment is Free.
