Citigate Dewe Rogerson calls itself “the leading international consultancy specialising exclusively in financial and corporate communications.[1] It was part of the Incepta Group before it was taken over by the Hunstworth Group. Seen as the “pinstriped” end of the Group, that is one of the best known and respected investor relations agencies in the UK.

- Jonathan Clare, CEO. One of the original founders of Citigate in 1988. Recent work has included Investec’s dual listing in London, Morrison’s bid for Safeway, and Russian-oligarch Roman Abramovich’s acquisition of Chelsea Village.[2]
- Anthony Carlisle, Executive Director. Has been with Dewe Rogerson since 1970. One of the best known PR men in the city. A key figure in the government privatizations of BT, British Gas, BP, British Steel and the water and electricity companies in the eighties and early nineties.[3]
Tony Carlisle has been described by the Evening Standard as “the dark master at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, and a man who has made more money from the privatised utilities sector than most. Carlisle was involved in 90% of the privatizations of the eighties and nineties. He was quoted by the Guardian as saying: “One of the key accusations of privatisations is that it works for the bosses and the shareholders, but ... pity about the poor consumer.”[4]

CDR is a member of the UK BioIndustry Association that seeks to promote biotechnology in the UK.[6] Like many PR companies, CDR has a dedicated section on biotech and pharma. It also works for global bio-nanotech company pSivida Limited, and biotech company Genzyme.[7] In 2008, CDR signalled it would be expanding pharma and biotech work.[8]
