Robert Gordon

Robert Gordon was instrumental in the setting up of the Scottish Parliament in 1997, and worked there until his retirement in 2010.
He currently sits on the board of Inspiring Scotland, Bethany Christian Trust, St Pauls and St Georges Church and Kynesis and works as an independent consultant coaching emerging leaders in the Scottish public sector.
Career
Gordon's career started in the Scottish Office/Executive/Government, working in a variety of roles and departments including as principal private secretary to the secretary of state, in 1997 he headed the constitution group responsible for setting up the Scottish Parliament, 2002 he was first chief executive of the crown office and procurator fiscal service and finally in 2004 he became head of the justice department, before retiring in 2010.[1]
Revolving door
- Independent consultant coaching emerging leaders in the Scottish public sector, April 2011. Approved by ACOBA "subject to the condition that, for 12 months from his last day of service, he should not become personally involved in lobbying UK or Scottish Government Ministers or Crown servants, including Special Advisers, on behalf of his clients".[2]
