Unite Against Hate
Unite against Hate was a street protest march organised by former English Defence Leader Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson and Sharia Watch director Anne Marie Waters, among others. It was held on 11 June 2017 in response to the deadly attack carried out by suicide bomber Salman Abedi at a Manchester Arena, which killed 22 concertgoers, and maimed many others.
Although it Unite Against Hate was originally promoted as a 'silent march' to honour the victims, according to Greater Manchester Police it 'turned nasty' and the media reported that 'Unite Against Hate' marchers chanted 'Allah is a paedo' and 'No Surrender', and many gave Hitler salutes'. [1]
Backers
It was held 'in partnership' with Canada's far-right online media outlet Rebel Media and Gays against Sharia.
