Unite Against Hate
Unite against Hate was a street protest march headed by former English Defence Leader Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson and Sharia Watch director Anne Marie Waters, among others.
Although originally organised in January 2017 by Tommy English of Gays against Sharia, Robinson reportedly took over and ultimately turned into a response to the deadly attack carried out by suicide bomber Salman Abedi at a Manchester Arena, which killed 22 concertgoers, and maimed many others. [1] Promoted as a 'silent march' to honour the victims, according to Greater Manchester Police the march 'turned nasty', with media reports of the presence of football gangs and 'Unite Against Hate' marchers chanting 'Allah is a paedo' and 'No Surrender', and many gave Hitler salutes'. It was held 'in partnership' with Canada's far-right online media outlet Rebel Media and Gays against Sharia.
