Alan Reid has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Argyll and Bute since 2001. He served as Opposition Whip (Commons) 2002-05, Shadow Minister (Trade and Industry) 2005-06, Shadow Minister (Northern Ireland) 2006-10, Shadow Minister (Scotland) 2007-10, Opposition Whip (Commons) 2010-10.[1]
