Colin Parr

Colonel Colin Parr was reportedly the head of army intelligence in Northern Ireland in the early 1990s.[1]

After graduating from Sandhurst, Parr became a Second Lieutenant in the Intelligence Corps in September 1965.[2] He as promoted to Lieutenant on 30 January 1967.[3]

Parr was mentioned in despatches for gallant conduct in South Arabia, while attached to the Prince of Wales' Own Regiment of Yorkshire, in January 1968.[4]

He was promoted to Captain on 30 July 1971.[5]

Parr was promoted to Major in January 1978.[6] He was promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel on 30 June 1983.[7]

Parr was awarded the OBE on 16 April 1985 in recognition of distinguished service in Northern Ireland.[8]

He was promoted to Colonel on 30 June 1989.[9]

Parr was mentioned in despatches in recognition of distinguished service in Northern Ireland on 11 May 1993.[10] He was promoted to Brigadier on 30 June 1994.[11]

Parr retired from the army in February 1998 or 1999.[12]
