EUK Consulting Ltd is a Westminster-based consultancy specialising in lobbying and public affairs. Its sister organisation, EUK Consulting SA, is based in Brussels.

Background

EUK Consulting Ltd is a member of the APPC. The stated aim of the firm is:

to close the knowledge gap between clients and the regulatory and political establishment in both the UK and the EU and to help its clients achieve outcomes favourable to their business by assisting them to engage proactively with these institutions.[1]

EUK Consulting Ltd made a donation of £3,000 to Liberal Democrat MP Nick Clegg, received on the 12th August 2009 and registered on the 3rd September 2009.[3]

On the 1st February 2010, the lobbyists donated £750 to Conservative MP Christopher Chope; a payment in kind to cover hospitality fees for Chope and his wife at a Conservative Party function in Battersea Park. The donation was registered on the 3rd February 2010.[4]

Food lobbying

In May 2010, McCain Foods (GB) Ltd put out to tender its £250,000 consumer and corporate PR account previously held by Fleishman-Hillard. The winner of the contract will be appointed to work on consumer, corporate, trade and crisis PR alongside EUK Consulting Ltd who retain primary responsibility for persuading MPs and opinion-formers that McCain are "making nutritional improvements".[5]
