In 2007 Freud Communications acquired the advertising firm DFGW. Freud was understood to have paid a negligible amount for the agency. Under the terms of the deal, DFGW will be absorbed into Freud and will move its 12-strong team from London's High Holborn to Freud's offices in Mortimer Street. The agency will trade as Freud Communications. [2]
Publicis Groupe
In 2005 Freud Communications became part of the Publicis Groupe[3] The Publicis Groupe bought 50.1% of the company. It is thought the deal was worth around £35 million of which £14m went to Matthew Freud. Freud is believed to have retained around two-thirds of the 49.9% not owned by Publicis.[4].
