Amb. Richard Carlson is the vice chairman of FDD. Carlson directed Voice of America for the last six years of the Cold War, and was responsible for the U.S.- government funded Radio Marti, which broadcast to Cuba. Carlson served as president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for five years.
