David Levin (1962-) is a British businessman and CEO of McGraw-Hill Education
He was CEO of United Business Media PLC, having succeeded Clive Hollick on April 5 2005.[1] Before that he was CEO at Symbian plc from April 2002 and he held senior positions at Psion, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Apax Partners, Universal Grinding Wheels of Stafford and in Asia, Bain & Company.
Levin was born 1962 in South Africa and lived in Rhodesia until his family moved to England]in 1965, as his father was a journalist critical of the Ian Smith regime. He was educated at Oxford University (Philosophy, Politics and Economics, 1983) and Stanford University (MBA, 1987).
He acts as an ambassador for the British-based anti-poverty group ActionAid and is also involved in work for Oxfam.
He is married to Lindsay Levin, and has three sons.
