Tucker believes that the creation of the state of Israel was an expression of divine will:

Israel and the Jewish people do not exist by the grace of the United Nations, or of the European Union, or of any nation on earth. They do not exist because it is a good idea, or because you or I or anybody else decided they should exist. They exist because God made a sovereign choice to elect a particular people to be His instrument of peace in this world.
Israel and the Jewish people exist because God wills it to be so.
If we, the nations of the world, do not respect His choices, we will be destined for tyranny and captivity. If, on the other hand, we respect His choices, we will be ensured of peace and prosperity. It is as simple as that. It is as true for you and me as individuals in our personal lives, as it is for the nations of which we are a part. It was the prophet Zechariah who stated millennia ago that those who touch Israel touch the apple of God’s eye.[2]
