Activities
According to her speaker biography for the UK Shale Gas conference in March 2014:
- Elizabeth is at the forefront of the emerging shale gas industry in the EU, leading an international team with extensive expertise in the environmental aspects of shale gas activities.
Elizabeth has an in-depth understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape around shale gas in the UK, and more widely across the EU. She is also close to the political issues which are influencing the approach to shale gas in the EU. She advises operators, service companies and others in the shale gas value chain (including companies in the chemical sector) on current regulatory requirements, as well as likely developments which will inform their shale strategy. She is closely involved with industry initiatives, for example NGS Facts, the template for public disclosure of chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing on a well by well basis on which she worked with UKOOG and OGP. She also works with Shale Gas Europe (founded by Total, Shell, Chevron, Statoil, Halliburton and Cuadrilla) the dedicated shale gas resource centre on the regulatory aspects of issues affecting stakeholder and public perception of shale gas across the EU.
- Elizabeth’s work includes advising clients on permitting requirements, briefing clients on regulatory developments across the EU or in specific Member States, and supporting clients in meetings with stakeholders in Brussels on particular aspects of shale gas. [1]
