Dr. Hans-Georg Wieck was president of the German foreign intelligence service, the Bundesnachrichtendienst from 1985 to 1990.[1]
Wiek liased closely with William Odom of the National Security Agency on a joint project to break the codes produced by commercial cypher machines from the Swiss company Crypto AG.[2]
