The Assessments Group was part of MI5 in Northern Ireland.

According to the Pat Finucane Review by Sir Desmond de Silva QC:

The Assessments Group was the section responsible for receiving intelligence relating to Northern Ireland from the RUC SB, the Security Service and the FRU, and using it to produce intelligence reports and assessments for the intelligence community and the UK Government.[1]
