Shmuel Ben-Tovim is an Israeli businessman and diplomat.

Ben-Tovim holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from the Hebrew University.[1]

His career began in the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Tourism (1974 to 1983) where he held the positions of Israel’s Consul & Trade Commissioner to the USA, based in New York, and the Chief Economic Adviser to the Minister in Jerusalem. From 1983 to 1987 he was Assistant Director General of the Bank Leumi Group.[1]

In 1991, he founded Ben-Tovim Consultants Ltd, an Israeli-based business development firm.[1]

From 1998 to 2005 Mr. Ben-Tovim served as Mayor of Kfar Shmaryahu.[1]

From 2005 to 2010 he was seconded to the Embassy of Israel in London as Minister for Economic Affairs.[1]

Ben-Tovim has also served as non-executive director in major Israeli corporations, including Bezeq Ltd., Israel Chemicals Ltd., and the Jerusalem Economic Corporation Ltd. He was a board member of the Tel-Aviv Chamber of Commerce, the Israel Export Institute and a co-founder of CJAED - the Center for Jewish-Arab Economic Development.[1]
