Aviva plc is the world’s sixth-largest insurance group and the largest insurance services provider in the UK.[1] It has 54,758 employees worldwide and on Fortune Global 500, they ranked 35 in 2005, 28 in 2006, 50 in 2007, 69 in 2008 and 221 in 2009.[2]
Healthcare
It is UK's third-largest private medical insurer, growing from having 30 employees in 1990 to employing 1,800 staff in 2010.
Health lobbying
Aviva Health employs lobbying and PR form Fleishman-Hillard to lobby for it.[3]
People
- U.K. Life Peer, Colin Sharman, Lord Sharman of Redlynch, has been Chairman of Aviva PLC since January 2006 and a board member since January 2005.[4]
- Andrew Moss, CEO
- Sarah Cox, a Director at the Cabinet Office since 2007 was a Business Development Manager at Aviva CGNU Group from 2000 to 2001.[5]
