The Slimming World All-Party Parliamentary Group states its aim as:
- To promote good health and well being; to provide practical advice and group support on weight management and loss; to promote healthy eating and physical activity; and to support members in developing healthy lifestyle habits.
Its chair as of October 2010 is Rosie Cooper(Labour) and vice-chair is [[[Mark Williams]], Lib Dems.
