David Betz is a member of the Insurgency Research Group at King's college. According to the King's website:
- Dr David J Betz BA, MA (Carleton) PhD (Glasgow) joined the Department in 2002, he was appointed Senior Lecturer in September 2007. He has an interest in civil-military relations, defence management and defence reform, particularly in the post-communist states of Central and Eastern Europe. He also does research on the problems of information age warfare, network-centric warfare, complex irregular warfare and the Revolution in Military Affairs. He has taught courses on all of the above in addition to courses on Asia-Pacific security.
- He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the Inter-University Seminar on Armed Forces and Society and the British Association of Slavonic and East European Studies.[1]
