National Unity Coalition for Israel (NUCI), consists of 500 fundamentalist Christian and right-wing Jewish supporters of Israel. The group was so right-wing that Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, a leader in coordinating Christian Zionist support for Israel, said he resigned from the NUCI's board because of the group's "anti-Rabin, pro-Likud" positions. On Jan. 21, 1998, the New York Times quoted Charles Jacobs saying the NUCI was "'giving voice' to evangelical Christians who are ardent Zionists." [1]
