Meg Powell Chandler is a former Conservative Party special adviser to Greg Clark at the Department for Communities and Local Government and Department for Energy and Business (BEIS). She now works as a lobbyist at the UK arm of the giant lobbying firm Burson Marsteller whose clients include petrochemical firm INEOS which is spearheading the push for fracking across the United Kingdom.

Powell Chandler ran, somewhat controversially, as a parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Northfield in the June 2017 general election, but was unsuccessful in beating the Labour Party MP.
