School Partnership Trust Academies, or SPTA, is a multi academy trust operating in England.
As of 2016 it runs 47 schools mostly in Yorkshire.
In 2015, SPTA was warned about the exam performance of 13 of its academies and told that some of its schools could be re-brokered to a different sponsor.[1]

Cutting teaching posts and narrowing the curriculum
In 2016 it was announced that SPTA was seeking to cut 48 teaching posts and 37 support staff across schools as part of a drive to cut the number of subjects pupils could learn.[2]

Before that, he was a managing director at Pearson, and before that with Capita SIMS, which provides data management services to schools.[4] Plant also wrote a review of 'Data Systems' for the Department for Education in 2013, which made a series of recommendations for refoming how data is collected, used and moved around the school system.[5]
