Ben Gummer has been the Conservative Party MP for Ipswich since 2010.[1] In the 2015 election Gummer retained his seat with a majority of 3,733.
Following the 2015 cabinet reshuffle, Gummer replaced Daniel Poulter as junior health minister in the Department of Health. [2]
On 14 July 2016, Gummer was appointed as minister for the cabinet office and paymaster general by incoming Prime Minister Theresa May. [3]
Gummer is the son of John Gummer, Conservative MP for Lewisham West 1970-74; Eye 1979-83; and Suffolk Coastal 1983-2010.[4]
