Bürgerbewegung pro NRW, also called simply Pro NRW (Bürgerbewegung means 'citizens' movement' in English), is a far-rightpopulist political party founded based in Cologne, Germany, that was founded in 2007.
It claims to campaigns against the 'Islamisation' of North Rhine Westphalia.
According to the British group Hope Not Hate, Pro NRW has around 900 members and has 'close links' with the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) and Vlaams Belang (VB) in Belgium.[1]
Activities
Violence in Cologne carried out by members of the far-right Hooligans Against Salafists (HoGeSa) on 26 October 2014 occurred during a demonstration which had reportedly been registered with the authorities by a member of Pro NRW.[2].
