Jonathan May is a former executive member of the Office of Fair Trade [1] (OFT) Board and acting executive director of policy and strategy.
In 2011 he left to take up a position as a 'special adviser' to public affairs agency Finsbury International Policy & Regulatory Advisers International Ltd (FIPRA).
Background
May joined the OFT in 2001, and was the first director of the markets and policy Initiatives Division. He spent over two years as Director of UK Competition Policy at the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
At the UK Department for Business, he developed strategy on competition policy. Before his secondment, he worked at the Treasury with public expenditure responsibility for Home Office and overseas aid policies.
