Air Chief Marshal Sir Graham Eric (Jock) Stirrup was Chief of the Defence Staff from April 2006 to October 2010, when he was granted a life peerage.[1]
Sunday Times sting operation
In 2012, Stirrup was one of a number of retired senior army officers targeted in a sting operation by Sunday Times journalists posing as representatives of a Korean drone manufacturer.[2]
