The International Revolutionary Marxist Centre was established at a Paris conference in April 1939, through a merger between the "London Buro" and the International Communist Opposition.[1]

A planned conference in October 1939 could not take place because of the outbreak of World War Two. The centre effectively ceased to exist when France was over-run in May-June 1940.[2]
