Karin Forseke joined the Financial Services Authority Board in December 2004. She was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Investment Bank AB from 2003 until March 2006.
Karin is also a non-executive director of the Swedish Royal Opera, a non-executive director of Wallenius Lines, a privately owned shipping company and is a member of "Finansmarknadsrådet" (a committee appointed to advise the Swedish Government on development of financial markets),
Prior to joining Carnegie in 1998, Ms. Forseke was Chief Operating Officer of the London International Financial Futures Exchange, LIFFE. Prior positions also include Head of sales at Westpac Banking Corporation's Financial Markets Group, London and Director of Business Development, The OMLX exchange, London.
After 29 years in the US and UK, Karin returned to Stockholm in 2003 following her appointment as Chief Executive of Carnegie. [1]
