Alan Haselhurst has been the Conservative Party MP for Saffron Walden since 1977. He was re-elected in May 2010 with a majority vote of 15,242. [1] In the 2015 general election, Haslehurst retained his seat for with an increased majority of 24,991. [2]
In June 1995 he was awarded a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours. [1]
