Kirsty Blackman is the Scottish National Party (SNP) MP for Aberdeen North, having won the seat in the May 2015 general election. [1]
Blackman defeated the Labour Party candidate Richard Baker, who previously held the seat since 2003, with a majority vote of 13,396 and gaining a 56 per cent share of the vote. [1]
Ms Blackman, following the 2015 general election result, was appointed Shadow SNP Spokesperson for the House of Lords.[2]
