Richard Harrington is the Conservative Party MP for the Watford Constituency[1].
He was appointed parliamentary under secretary of state, Minister for Energy and Industry in June 2017. He resigned in March 2019 to vote for Oliver Letwin’s amendment, having warned of the risks of a "no-deal" Brexit.
Political career
In the 2015 general election, Harrington was re-elected with a majority of 9,794. [2]
On the 14 September 2015, he was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary jointly to the Home Office, the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department for International Development. He is responsible for co-ordinating work to resettle up to 20,000 Syrian refugees, advising the Home Secretary, Communities Secretary and the Prime Minister.[3]
