Catherine McKinnell is the UK Labour Party MP for Newcastle upon Tyne North, and was the shadow economic secretary to HM Treasury from 2013 to 2015. [1]

As of September 2015 she has been appointed to the post of Shadow Attorney General, having worked as a solicitor before entering Parliament. [3]
