Alistair Burt is a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party in the constituency of North East Bedfordshire. He was elected to parliament in the June 1983 General Election with a majority of 12,251 votes.[1]
Burt was appointed Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Minister of State at the Department for International Development on 13 June 2017. [2]
Burt was an FCO junior minister from 2010 until a government reshuffle in October 2013.[3] In May 2015, he was appointed Minister for Community and Social Care at the Department of Health.[4]
