Technical Defense was an intelligence related firm that in February 2007 was merged with the Terrorism Research Center (both companies were headed by Matthew Devost) and with former CIA man Cofer Black's consulting group, the Black Group.[1]
The merger followed the acquisition of the companies by Erik Prince’s Prince Group, the holding company behind Blackwater USA.[2] The company is managed by Devost, and chaired by Cofer Black.
