British Friends of the University of Haifa was established by a Declaration of Trust on the 31st of December 1975, three years after the founding of Haifa University in Israel. Its first Trustees were Arnold Goodman, Baron Goodman of the City of Westminster; Desmond Hirshfield, Baron Hirshfield of Holborn; Sir Isaiah Berlin, Mrs Anne Crossman, Mr Ian Mikado and Mr Phillip Sober.
Today, it is called the University of Haifa UK.
