Pete Hoekstra is a former chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In December 2017 he was sworn in as the new US Ambassador to the Netherlands.
Hoekstra describes himself as 'a frequent writer and commentator on intelligence issues and the threat from radical Islam'.
