Caroline Jane Samuel, the Viscountess Bearsted (formerly Caroline Sacks) is a private medical practitioner based in the family estate Farley Hall, a large 18th-century grade I listed country house in the English village of Farley Hill, in the civil parish of Swallowfield, Berkshire, near Reading.

Sacks 'qualified at St Thomas's Hospital , London University in 1975 and worked as a full time GP Principal in Paddington and Private Occupational Health Practitioner for 25 years. In 2004, Lady Bearsted received a Master of Science degree, with Distinction, in General Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at King's College, London University.
