George Pascoe-Watson is a lobbyist at Portland Communications and a former political editor of The Sun newspaper.
Career
Pascoe-Watson held many roles at The Sun during his 22 years there, including as a news and investigations reporter, political correspondent, deputy political editor and from 2005 to 2010, when he left, as political editor. He led the Sun's coverage of the Iraq War from US Central Command in Qatar and was one of the first political journalists to back David Cameron to lead the Conservative Party.[1][2]
In 2010 Pascoe-Watson announced he would be joining Portland Communications, a PR and lobbying consultancy set up by former special adviser to Tony Blair, Tim Allan.[1]
Pascoe-Watson has appeared on BBC Question Time, Radio 5 Live and News Channel, Sunday AM, Sky News, Any Questions, The Week in Westminster. He is a former chairman of Parliamentary Lobby Journalists and is the author of Total Politics's 'the Insider' column.[3]
