Rev. Willem J. J. Glashouwer is the president of Christians for Israel International, a Christian Zionist organisation and the international wing of the Netherlands-based Christians for Israel. Born in 1944 Glashouwer studied Theology at the Univerisities of Groningen and Utrecht and was subsequently ordained as a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church.[1] For two decades he worked as a producer, host and executive director in the Television department of the 'Evangelische Omroep' (Evangelical Broadcasting Company).[1] Glashouwer was instrumental in the establishment of the Institute for Evangelical Higher Education in the Netherlands, and the Christian School for Journalism.[1] He served as chairman of Christians for Israel until 1999 when he became president of Christians for Israel International.[1] In February 2010 he was knighted by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.[1]

Glashouwer has written several books on Israel and Christianity. Those books include Why End Times?: Learning to Interpret the Signs of the Times (Evangelista Media) [2] and Why Israel? Understanding Israel, the Church, and the Nations in the last Days (Evangelista Media). [3]
