Sir Richard Needham is the chairman of Tetra Strategy and Vane Minerals PLC and as a director at a number of other companies.
He was a Conservative MP for 18 years.
Northern Ireland
Needham was a Conservative MP from 1979 to 1997 and served as Under-Secretary of State at the Northern Ireland Office from 3 September 1985 until 15 April 1992.[1]
Career
Needham has been chairman of some of the biggest companies and organisations in the UK, including the Heart Hospital in London from 1995 to 2001, Biocompatibles plc from 2000 to 2006, NewField IT from 2004 to 2007 and Avon Rubber plc from 2007 to 2012. He is currently the chairman of Tetra Strategy and Vane Minerals PLC.
He was a director of Anglo Japanese 21st Century Group from 1985 to 2010 and of Dyson from 1995 to 2011.
On top of his roles with Tetra and Vane Minerals, he is currently a non-executive director at business support company Smarta, gambling company Rank PLC and events organisers NEC Group and a guest speaker with JLA speakers.[2]
