Ian Lang (Lord Lang of Monkton) is a life peer in the House of Lords. He became a Conservative Party member of the Lords in October 1997. He was member of parliament for Galloway from 1979 to 1983 and for Galloway and Upper Nithsdale from 1983 to 1997.[1]
Lang has been chairman of the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments since 2009.[2] He is due to step down in December 2014.
