Ben Williams is the current special adviser to the UK Government chief whip.
Williams is one of the chief whip's, Alistair Carmichael's, two special advisers.
Before this he was head of the Liberal Democrat Whips Office for twelve years. Williams has also served as secretary to the parliamentary party for the Liberal Democrats at the same time as his role as head of the Whips Office. [1]
