Simon Burton was appointed as special adviser for the Department for Transport to David Cameron in May 2014. [1]
History
From April 2013 until May 2014 Burton was part of the policy and briefing team at Post Office. Previous to this role, Simon was a political adviser to the Conservative Party for two years. [2] In 2009 Burton was a constituency organiser at the Huntingdon Conservative Association, he held this job for two years. Prior to this, Burton was a constituency assistant for the office of Jonathan Djanogly MP from September 2007 until October 2009. [2]
Education
From 2006 until 2008 Burton studied at The University of Hull where he undertook a Master of Arts in Legislative Studies. Burton also obtained a degree from The University of Hull in 2006, gaining a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. [2]
