Rizwaan Sabir is a doctoral candidate at the Department for Social and Policy Sciences at the University of Bath (formerly in the School of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde). He is researching UK counter-terrorism towards Muslims in the UK since 9/11 and 7/7, respectively, with a focus on policing, intelligence and related areas.

He is the editor of the Powerbase Counter-Terrorism Portal and a contributor to the Guardian newspaper's Comment is Free blog. His "Sabir On Security" column appears fortnightly in Ceasefire Magazine, though he contributes presently on a "guest basis".
