Metdist is a mining trading group chaired by Raj Bagri, former chairman of the London Metal Exchange, whose son Apurv Bagri is the Managing Director.
The Metdist group keeps a low public profile. Company House records that Metdist Ltd, Metdist International Ltd., Metdist Trading Ltd, as well as Minmetco, all occupy the same address.
Significant LME Interest
Metdist is a significant shareholder of the London Metal Exchange. Out of 12.9m ordinary shares, Metdist Ltd owns 912,000 and Metdist Trading Ltd. own 300,000, making it a 9.4% owner.[1]
