Professor [[Joan Stringer]] was elected Convener of [[SCVO]] from 1 January 2002. She took up the post of Principal & Vice-Chancellor of [[Napier University]] in January 2003. Prior to her appointment she was Principal and Vice-Patron of [[Queen Margaret University College]], Edinburgh.
