Wyn Jones (Serco)
Wyn Jones has over 30 years experience "in and around prisons" and says that he gets "as much pleasure form my work today as I did when I began my career at Strangeways prison in 1983." He started working for Serco in 2006 and is one of their UK staff who was sent on secondment to Australia.[1]

Jones started his career at HMP Strangeways in 1983. He "joined the service as an Auxilary officer and experienced every rank up to and including Senior Manger C grade", remaining in the prison service until he joined Serco in 2006.

Jones was prison director [i.e. governor] for Serco at HMP Dovegate from January 2006 to January 2011, responsible for the "running of an 1185 bed category B training prison that had a local remand function and a 200 bed Therapeutic Community contained within".

He was director of custodial projects for Serco in the UK from January 2011 to April 2011, "identifying and delivering effIciencies across our custodial and immigration businesses".
Australia
Jones went on secondment to Australia for Serco from April 2011 to August 2011, where he was a regional manager in Darwin/Northern Territories "with Cluster management responsibilities, including Strategic Consulting, business plan & growth strategy development, whilst settling down new contracts and a junior staff team in the Immigration field."
Global lead
He was "Global lead business capability" for Serco from September 2011 to February 2013, with "Global implementation lead for rostering solution across the business".
Director of Custodial Operations
Jones became Director of Custodial Operations for Serco in the UK from February 2013, "responsible for the overall operations of Serco Prisons, Immigration centres and STC's".
