According ot the Daily Star, King was the initiator of an anti-Islamist March in Luton in May 2009:

Rally inspiration Wayne King's Ban The Terrorists group has a 1,500-strong petition which it plans to present to Luton's mayor Lakhbir Singh, and later to PM Gordon Brown.
Wayne said: "The whole country witnessed the hatefilled scum that gatecrashed the soldiers' homecoming.
"Two of their regiment died in Iraq and they should have met a heroes' welcome.
"This is a very small number of Muslim fanatics and not the wider Muslim community. " Last night a Luton Council spokesman said: "We have granted permission for a march to take place in the town centre on 24 May."[1]

After the march desccended into violence, the Daily Mail quoted King as a spokesman for the United People of Luton:

'We decided enough was enough after the soldiers got heckled as they marched through the town centre by the Muslim extremists. We want laws brought in to stop preachers of hate operating here.'[2]
