Walter Bedell Smith
General Walter Bedell Smith served as Chief of Staff to Dwight Eisenhower during World War Two. He served as Ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1946 to 1948, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1950 to 1953.[1]
